About Us

The Venango Conservation District provides educational, technical and financial assistance for quality and sustainable natural resource management. The local agency serves the residents and businesses of Venango County, as well as visitors. The organization has been working with local landowners and their natural resource needs since 1961, when it was established by the Venango County commissioners.
The activities of the conservation district are guided by a volunteer board of nine directors, including one commissioner. Directors are local citizens with various backgrounds who also have an interest and familiarity with natural resource issues. The Venango Conservation District works with other local, state and federal partners to coordinate programs to serve the needs of Venango County.
