Each year, the Chamber bestows this award upon an individual who consistently evidences civic leadership through volunteerism and service to their community. The Outstanding Citizen Award is among the Chamber’s most prestigious community recognition awards.
The nominating committee is looking for Venango County citizens who demonstrate a well-rounded and deep-rooted commitment to family and community. Nominees must be community volunteers with records of extensive and diverse participation in community service and civic involvement, aside from accomplishments directly related to the candidate’s employment.
Those wishing to nominate individuals for the Outstanding Citizen Award must submit an official nomination form along with a nominating letter that describes the nominee’s background and qualifications for this award. Those having previously nominated candidates for the Outstanding Citizen awards may re-nominate a candidate by sending an updated nomination letter along with a nomination form. All selections are made without regard to race, color, creed, age or national origin.
The deadline for submitting a nomination is Friday, November 8, 2024.
Printable nomination forms can be found here, or stop by the Chamber Office at 100 Seneca Street, 5th Floor in Oil City for a form.
