About Us

Friends of Drake Well, Inc., a non-profit 501(c)(3) membership-based organization, actively supports the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission (PHMC) in the administration and operation of Drake Well Museum and Park as well as its associated sites of Historic Pithole City and McClintock Well #1. Friends of Drake Well works to ensure that Drake Well Museum and Park continues to grow and succeed in its educational mission to uncover, preserve, and share Pennsylvania's rich petroleum history, connecting past to present through a diversity of perspectives and inspiring our global audience to strive for a sustainable energy future.
