Mr. Bookman houses over 100,000 meticulously sorted new and used books, and media items. We display books by local authors, books signed by authors, an entire room of antique and vintage books, a large children’s section, LPs, CDs, DVDs, video games, and even art. By shopping at Mr. Bookman, everyone wins. Not only do you experience the pleasure of finding treasures at affordable prices, but you are supporting the local community. Besides providing local employment, a portion of all proceeds is donated back to local libraries. Libraries and non-profits especially avail of Mr. Bookman’s highly praised book sorting system, which assists them in dealing with used and discarded books. By utilizing both the store and online sales, Mr. Bookman is able to maximize sales.
Starting over 11 years ago with just 15 books on a pool table, business continued to grow and outgrow a variety of venues including a garage, and a shed! Now we are housed in a facility of about 18,000 square feet. The owners' dedication and commitment to never quit, never give up, never give in, despite all obstacles, truly makes this bookstore a perfect example of the American Dream coming true.
