About Us

North Star Behavioral Health Services is a counseling business offering individual Intensive Behavioral Health Services to children, adolescents and their families since 2005. Dawn Vonada, MA, LPC is the Administrative Director and owner, and Michelle Perdue, MEd, LBS is the clinical coordinator. The intensive services are prescribed for children and adolescents who are experiencing significant behavioral and emotional difficulties within the home, school and/or community. Services prescribed can be delivered using a Behavioral Consultant (BC) or Mobile Therapist (MT), and a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT). Services are designed to provide the child and family therapeutic interventions and supports that may be used to reduce and manage identified needs, increase coping strategies and support skill development to promote positive behaviors across environments.
