Venango County Humane Society is a national leader in the adoption of shelter animals, the spaying and neutering of pets, and in shelter services. Other services of the Venango County Humane Society is humane education in public schools, child care facilities, and other locations and pet visitations at area nursing homes and other facilities. The shelter and other operations are supported by donations of individuals, organizations, and several area muncipalitites adoption fees, and from money generated by the Venango Humane Society Thrifts Shop at 752 Liberty Street, Franklin.
